Park? We don't need a park

One of the last weddings of the season for us was Tanya and Russ's wedding on Halloween day. The wedding ceremony and reception both took place in St. Lawrence Hall in downtown Toronto. A very dramatic hall with cathedral heigh ceilings! Everyone was getting ready only a couple blocks away over at The Grand Hotel. We started off our photo shoot on the roof of the hotel then made our way over to the hall. In Toronto you need a permit to photograph wedding parties in the city parks, so we did our photoshoot in the streets instead. A couple of the photos we even posed at the edge of the park (still on the sidewalk) and took advantage of the beautiful fall leaves. We were able to take advantage of a great variety of backgrounds and no permits were needed. Being halloween I don't know how many of the on lookers new a wedding was in progress or just thought we were going to a halloween party in wedding costume.

The most important thing to do at your wedding is have FUN!

Sandi and Dave were the most care free couple of the year. I was lucky to work with many couples that made sure to have fun on their wedding day, Sandi and Dave took it to a different level. They had so much fun clowning around for the camera, it was fantastic. We captured some beautiful tender moments, but I will always remember the fun clowning around, and singing the theme song to the A-team. ;-)

It threatened to pour rain so we were pleased to have some beautiful shooting locations at Casablanca Winery Inn where the wedding party was getting ready. Fortunately for Sandi and Dave I brought some sun with me from Cambridge so their outdoor ceremony and photoshoot worked out perfectly. We were at Liuna Gardens in Stoney Creek for the ceremony and reception. What a beautiful spot for an out door wedding! Once we were safely inside for the wedding reception the skies opened up and it was pouring. It really couldn't have been more perfect.

New Ideas for 2010

Here is a fun one we will try out in 2010. We will be offering Photo Canvas Collages. Couples always tell us how hard it is to narrow down to just the top photos to fit in their album. This is a fun way to share hundreds of your wedding photos with everyone who visits your home. Mom and Dad would love one too!

Wow the new Site is almost ready to go

I'm currently juggling a number of tasks, processing our fall weddings, updating the site, and researching new products to offer. Over the winter I plan to update this journal page with high lights from last season. Stay tuned.
